30 Day Mass Effect Challenge, Days 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11

Favourite Alien species.

Turians.

Heh, I really have no idea what it is about them, but I became fascinated with their kind the moment Nihlus was introduced. I DON’T KNOW, maybe it’s the face structure with those piercing eyes, or the way their voices sound, or their orderly and honorable mentality… Point is… I find every damn Turian I meet in this game charming. Can’t fight that.

Probing planets, or Mako style?

Either way has its charm in their respective games. I used to get annoyed with both, but the third game made me feel nostalgic and equally affectionate towards them. I love Mako trips in 1, but it’s nice that I don’t need to do them in 2 XD

Best piece of DLC.

Shadow Broker! It’s very dynamic and enthralling, has a good plot, an awesome car chase and some formidable banter! Also, considering the terrible nostalgia I suffer during ME2, meeting up with Liara - another dear old friend, feels fantastic and very comforting.

Favourite Weapon(s)

Geth plasma shotgun. Oh, how I LOVE this thing! I take some weird pleasure in holding the button, charging, accumulating, and then FIRING it in full power *_*

There is also Scorpion that has been helping me fight the worst kinds of enemies and saved my life countless times! Plus, it’s got style XD

Then in ME2 there’s the Collector particle beam… Oh, baby!

Favourite antagonist.

None really…

Well, let it be Kai Leng! He’s the kind of bastard you just love to hate. “That was for Thane, you son of a bitch!” Can’t forget something like this :D

All right. I think I’m over the worst of the emotional hurricane caused by the last part of the Mass Effect trilogy (or just in a state of semi-comfortable denial, take your pick), so here we go, actual thoughts and shit instead of flailing arms and hysterical sobbing.

This post contains spoilers. By the love of Wrex, Tali and Anderson combined, do not read this if you haven’t finished the game yet. Please don’t. I couldn’t forgive myself if I accidentally spoiled the game for someone. In fact I’m just going to give myself a good whipping right now because surely someone’s Savior must’ve failed and their mouse hand spasmed and they ended up getting spoiled anyway. I’m so sorry. I’ll get the riding crop.

Aaahh, found this, finally!

Damn, in ME3 Shepard and Ashley spend so much time cautiously dancing around, that when they finally get back together, they just WON’T SHUT UP about how they love each other.

Not that I mind. I’m just… really not a fan of romantic conversations. Don’t talk about love, just act accordingly! But nooo, they need to talk about their feelings, recall the first meeting, recite poetry (I hate poetry). Sigh.

That’s right, Ash, tell him to shut up! That’s my girl!

Can’t help thinking it was a bit more fun in ME1 when they were much less wordy 

- I … want you to be happy.

- Yeah, I know. I “want you to be happy” too.

Spiders, spiders, SPIDERS!

Oh, Tali XD

Funny thing: there I was, investigating the cave, frying the rachni clutches; when the swarmers jumped out, Ash provided covering fire, shooting all the little monsters that I missed. While Tali suddenly turned around and rushed back in the direction we came from - she ran pretty far and hid behind a rock XD 

In the meantime Shepard and Ash kept shooting the little spiders. Tali then ran back, but we were already done there. 

That was so adorable and fitting! Because seconds later she started freaking out aloud and screaming “SPIDERS!” Just a coincidence? I wonder…

Alright, let’s destroy some bandwidth. For the love of god, keelah, kittens, and your internet connection, don’t clickthrough the cut on this post if you’re on, like, dialup, or a phone, or something.

I may have posted some of these previously, but I’m just going to bumrush the whole lot of them for convenience’s sake. If you want to repost any of these (which ends up with them uploaded to tumblr), that’s fine, just please link back to this post when you do, since I’m kind of terrible at making gifs and it takes me forever, so I put a considerable amount of my own time into making these.

A few things you may want/need to know:
- These are all from Mass Effect 2. I haven’t yet made gifs from ME3 (but I do plan on it).
- These are in no specific order other than alphabetical.
- I was playing as Legion in some of these. I wrote a blog post on BSN explaining how to do this, which you can find here: How to play as Legion [by Kikaimegami] @BSN
- I was playing as Tali in a few of these, using the above technique, only using Tali’s mesh instead, obviously. I haven’t written how to make her work, since there’s a slight difference (she doesn’t have a head mesh), but if someone replies to this with a request to write that up, I can do so.
